27 Weeks & 2 Days :)

My girlfriend updated her blog today, and it inspired me to do mine!  I am not very good at this stuff...obviously! So here it goes...

Fishing on the Bay - 27 Weeks & 1 Day :)

How far along? 27 Weeks & 2 Days

Size of the baby?
Maternity Clothes? For sure...I'm all belly and it is crazy.  I never knew my stomach could stretch so much.  I did hit a point where it got really big, really quickly but now I feel like its steadily just big.  I havn't noticed any major growth in the last few weeks.  Oh, and yeah I can't see my legs haha!

Gender? It's a Boy - name is being kept with us until delivery, but his initials are CBM (you can guess all you want...but we havn't had any correct guesses - nor would we tell you if you did haha!)

Movement? Yes, daily.  He seems to move more when I relax or want to go to sleep.  I even can feel harder spots that feel like a foot or hand. I can rub it or push on it and it goes away for a second and then comes back.  Johnny put his head on my belly to see if he could hear a heartbeat and actually got kicked in the ear! :)

Sleep? Sleep is getting a little more tough.  I am a stomach sleeper, so not being able to sleep on my tummy has been no fun.  I find myself propping up alot of pillows in the middle of the night to get off my sides for awhile...looking forward to what the 3rd trimester will bring.

Cravings?  I had a craving for chocolate covered pretzels last night.  I also have just been craving sweets...nothing good for me, unfortunately.

Symptoms? My back and legs have been a little sore.  At some point I will get tingling in my legs, but it goes away quickly if I stretch and get him to move into a different position.  My headaches did go away for awhile, but they are starting to come back.

Best Moment of the Week?  Let's see....great moments have been mostly movement involved.  I love feeling him go crazy inside...it never gets old.  It's also neat noticing that he is always on the same side of my stomach.

High Risk factor:  Nope!

My next appointment is August 6th and I get to do the fun glucose test.  I have confidence that I will past and won't need the extended test (fingers crossed)!  I have gained around 22 pounds so far...so I think I'm right on track.  We have our hospital tour after vacation and then our birthing class mid August.  Our friends are also throwing us a couples shower mid August, which we are very excited about.  I'm happy that Johnny will be able to participate and feel included, since this is his baby too :o)  Mothershead's are throwing me a shower Labor Day weekend and mom & dad are throwing one in September.  All good things too come...and of course, we cannot wait for him to be here!!!!

Nursery Inspiration Boards!

Alright....here are my nursery inspiration boards.  I have cleared the color schemes with hubby (don't worry, that was my first priority!) hahaha.  I have created a basic idea of what I would want....I hope to do both using inexpensive/used/thrift store furniture and repainting myself.  I am on the lookout for a comfy white chair to have in the room to sit in because I want my glider in the living room where I will be spending most of my time :)  The navy, yellow and white mobile was something I found on Etsy that I think is SO cute!!! But regardless, here are my ideas.....

I would love any feedback! =o)

Alright, well I guess it is about time for an update :) I am slacking on this whole pregnancy blogging thing! Our last appointment was on April 16th and we got to hear the heartbeat.  Silly me thought I was going to have another ultrasound.  No one told me that you only get ultrasounds every so often..  That was a little disappointing because I was so excited to see Baby Mo at 13 weeks, but hearing the heartbeat was just as exciting.  Baby Mo was beating at 150 bpm, loud & strong!

Well, here is me lately - these were taken at 14 weeks and 14 weeks 2 days.  Today marks 14 weeks & 6 days. Man time is flying....I feel like every morning I wake up my stomach is getting bigger and bigger (or maybe it's just that my clothes are really not fitting anymore!).  It is amazing how much your body changes and how you cant suck in that bump...hahaha! Pure solid baby mass....

The past few weeks have been great to me, besides the headaches! The cravings have died down and the morning sickness is pretty much gone.  I am still eating a lot and taking naps, though!  The 2nd trimester is feeling completely different than the first =o)  I have started to think about nursery ideas and what I want to do for girl/boy.  We have decided that we want to find out the gender, so once we know boy/girl we will begin the nursery! For a boy, we are thinking navy, yellow & white color scheme.  For a girl, we are doing sage green, light pink & white.  I have inspiration boards for each, but nothing set in stone yet.  I will share those when they are finished...

My next appointment is on May 16th, which will be for my 16 week lab tests.  After that we have our gender ultrasound (yayyy) on June 4th! I cannot wait!

Last but not least, I have started a Target registry with most of the basics.  It is SO much fun looking at the baby stuff and I must admit, a little overwhelming.  I never knew that picking out a stroller or pack n play could be so exhausting.  I am looking forward to getting a weekend with J, heading to Target and actually looking at a lot of stuff in person.  I know I will need lots of diapers, pacifiers and more diapers! Hahaha!

Pregnancy Highlights

How far along? 14 Weeks & 6 Days

Size of the baby? An orange! (I went ahead and did 15 week, since I am hours away!)
Maternity Clothes? Yes please....I had a pretty successful Motherhood shopping spree, but I need a few more things that are work appropriate.  I ordered a pair of slacks and a long skirt from Gap. I hope to get those in tomorrow =o)

Gender? June 4th.....yippee!

Movement?  No, but I am patiently waiting! I lay in bed every night and hope to feel that butterfly feeling! To be honest, sometimes I wonder if I am feeling a flutter or if it's just gas....hahaha!

Sleep?  Sleep at night is getting a little more difficult. It's getting harder to get comfortable at night. I was always a stomach sleeper and not being able to do that is putting a cramp in my sleep style! I hope to get a body pillow in the next week or so...

Cravings?  Nothing really...but when I'm hungry, I'm hungry! I have been craving fruit still, so that is a plus.

Symptoms? Everything has pretty much died down for now, except for the headaches.  I have been struggling with them lately.  I have ramped up the water intake and tried the Tylenol regimen but that did not seem to work.  I called my Dr. this AM and she put in a prescription for fioricet.  Hopefully that does the trick....

Best Moment of the Week?  Hearing the heartbeat during week 13 and watching Baby Mo grow by the size of my belly!

High Risk factor:  Nope!

Stay tuned for an update if I feel flutters!......

Love from Me, Johnny, Benny & Baby Mo!

9 Weeks, 2 days!

The past few weeks (since the last ultrasound) went by SUPER fast.  We had our first prenatal appointment on Wednesday and it was kind of overwhelming.  The nurse began asking us all these questions about delivery hospital of choice, blood banks and genetic testing - things we have never really thought about before.  To be honest, I have not thought much about preparing for Baby Mo...besides saving $$$.  I figured I would get around to it this summer when we were on break for the school year and working on the nursery.  I guess I better start sooner...phew!  Maybe I should make a checklist....but I have no idea where to even start???

Overall, it was a great visit though.  It was awesome seeing how much Baby Mo has grown in just two weeks.  We can't wait to see the progress when we go back in another 4!  Our doctor said next visit we will hear the heartbeat, which I imagine will be breathtaking!  Here is a new baby bump picture.  It was taken at 8 wks 6 days, but close enough :)  I am bad at this whole picture taking thing...I always had imagined taking them in the same spot every time, in some cute way, but I have failed at that so far.  So, my mirror pictures will have to suffice for now!
Pregnancy Highlights

How far along? 9 Weeks & 2 Days

Size of the baby? An olive!
Maternity Clothes? I have gotten a few maternity shirts, because they are definitely more comfy! I also bought a belly band from Target.  With the belly band, a rubber band (used as a button extender) and a few bigger shirts most of my pre-prego clothes are fitting for nowww.....

Gender? Still unknown!

Movement?  Nope - although it feels like I'm not a boat daily

Sleep?  Still napping a lot after work and on the weekends.  When 1-3 PM comes around, I'm super tired and ready for at least a 45 minute nap.

Cravings?  I haven't had a ton of cravings in the last week or so..just constantly hungry! Fruit is really my goto item right now - grapes, strawberry's and apples!

Symptoms? Appetite is still out of control, but then again I'm always snacking because when my stomach gets empty, the nauseous really kicks in.  I have woken up a few times to snack in the middle of the night to help calm things down.

Best Moment of the Week?  Seeing how much Baby Mo has grown and seeing that heartbeat, again.

High Risk factor:  Nope!

My next appointment is April 16th, so I will be sure to post an update unless something more exciting happens before then :)

We're Gonna Have a Baby Mo!!

Yes, that is right - I'm pregnant! I cannot believe that we are going to be having a baby, but could not be more excited.  Last week, I was really sick with a virus, so I was sent in to have an early ultrasound to make sure that baby was doing okay.  Well, based on my LMP, I was supposed to be in my 7th week, which is why the Dr. was alarmed when he did not see a heartbeat.  He came in to the appointment saying "Well, the ultrasound didn't look good".  That broke my heart and I immediately started to cry (what stinks, is that a few minutes prior to him coming in, Johnny told me "You don't know how nervous I am to make sure that everything is okay").  So, starting out our appointment with those words from the Dr. was super tough.  He told me that maybe I had a miscarriage but my body just had not recognized it, but there was still a possibility I was too early to even see a heartbeat.  So, we left the appointment, me in tears and knowing we had to come back in a week to confirm miscarriage or no miscarriage.

Needless to say, this past week was the LONGEST week of our lives.  I tried not to stress over it, but I was still having all my pregnancy symptoms, so it was hard not knowing if I should be happy or not.  I walked around with these feelings, not knowing if the baby was even still alive or not.  The fact that my body did not register that anything had happened, was scary.  On Tuesday, we went to see my doctor.  We waited in the room for 30 minutes for her, which felt like 30 days!  I felt sick to my stomach and Johnny was a nervous wreck.  Finally, the doctor came in and started the ultrasound.  To our surprise, she immediately said "I can tell you that things are looking good, very good".  I took a deep breath....what a relief.  I felt a huge weight life off of my shoulders.  After a few clicks, she turned the screen towards Johnny and I and pointed to a healthy baby.  Baby Mo was 6 times bigger than what we had seen a week ago.  Then came the heartbeat. WoW! What an amazing thing to see - the little flicker of white at 150 bpm.  We both shed a few tears of joy, so happy with the amazing news and ready to tell the world!  Doctor said I conceived a little later than "average" and that made me a little bit behind the mark, which is why we did not see much last week.  But, everything is looking perfect, so far!

I am SUPER excited.  I never thought I would be one to blog or journal about our experiences while pregnant, but after the advice of numerous other mothers, I have decided to give it a try.  So, here goes nothing.... Baby Mo Blog =o)

Pregnancy Highlights

How far along? 6 Weeks and 4 Days

Size of the baby? A blueberry! 6 mm!

Maternity Clothes? Not quite yet, although things are getting VERY tight.  My jeans are still doable, but the work clothes that are non stretch are staying in the closet.

Gender?  Not sure, yet =o)

Movement?  Nothing besides my belly telling me its hungry! Haha

Sleep?  Lots of it.  I find myself wanting a nap in the middle of the day.  I go to bed early anyway, so cuddling up in my covers around 7:30 or 8 is nothing new for me :)

Cravings?  Chili Dogs, Prime Rib, Cold Stone Creamery and Olive Garden endless pasta and salad bowl!!!

Symptoms? Nothing much really. A little bit of nauseous when I get hungry. Oh and did I mention I'm eating like a horse? I have a big appetite already, but whoa, it is OUT OF CONTROL!!

Best Moment of the Week?  After a big scare and a week of unknown, seeing that baby much bigger and with a strong heartbeat was the best moment, hands down.

High Risk factor: Nothing known, yet and hopefully it stays that way!

Well, that is is for this week! My first prenatal is March 14th, so I will be sure to post an update =o)
